We specialise in 1/12th& 1/24th scale Tudor style dolls houses both fully assembled or in kit form (kits are the most authentic on the market) builders merchant and furniture all hand made by an experienced Oak frame carpenter and mostly from recycled off cuts except paint, glue, leaded light glazing, and brass hinges everything is made in house (forgive the pun!) including scale door hinges and roof coverings.

Ready built houses

Made from MDF & plywood with real Oak beams, beams are applied to each side of the MDF and are artificially aged externally and wax polished internally all joints have peg detail, other details include stop chamfers to chamber and ceiling joists, jowled posts(posts cut with slope, under tie beams and chamber joists), draw knifing (edge detail to all beams except ceiling beams) and shaped ends to cills, wall plates and jetty joists. All joinery ie stairs, windows, doors and floorboards are solid Oak and are polished and lacquered (light) or stained and lacquered (dark). Three basic models available all come with lighting systems all light fittings are made by TLOFC.

1/24th houses do not have peg details but are made with individual infill panels and full thickness beams. All models have real lead flashing and are not designed for children.

Kits

All Oak beams are workshop fitted to panels (most kits you will have to stick on beams yourself), panels simply need painting/staining and gluing together, the only cutting required is to the floorboards however these can be workshop fitted for £10 per room I would recommend that floorboards are lacquered prior to fitting again joinery and floorboards can be stained and lacquered for £30, panels can be supplied ready painted (3 coats, same colour inside and out) for £25, beams can be aged for £10. Each kit is hand made and fully fitted in the workshop to ensure accurate alignment (each kit takes approx one week to produce so represents good value no other kit is as authentic or detailed. Two models only at present in both scales. No other kit has as much internal Oak work all walls and ceilings have beams applied to them. Pictorial instructions are here
