My name is Malcom Hyde I originally started in 2003 originally making jewellery, Celtic influenced ornaments and wall hangings from wood which was mostly Oak, prior to that I had several years experience manufacturing full size Oak frames for Border Oak Design and Construction, one of England’s leading oak frame manufacturers.

I worked on many projects including copies of Shakespeare’s birthplace and Mary Arden’s house which were exported to Japan. After working my way up through the workshop and learning all the hand skills I ended up in the office and eventually as a contracts manager where I was heavily involved with setting up and managing a second workshop for Border Oak, specialising in making Oak frame outbuildings in kit form.

After having to take some time off through a long standing back problem I decided to make my first dolls house, after seeing other houses for sale in shop windows I noticed a lot of architectural inaccuracies I now endeavour to make all of my houses and kits as architecturally accurate as possible and specialise in Oak framed or Tudor style buildings.
